1st- Yes,its a mistake, I should not judge something on its life cycle in popular culture
2nd- "the true spirit and intent of music and all creative forms of expression have been dealt a deathblow from ridiculous post like this yours" A deathblow? I laugh only because I dont think that I can give anything a deathblow, exception being in a video game
3rd-the gestation period is over
4th-glad we agree-Smithhart/HCR/NMA rock and there are others, Alvin Youngblood Hart comes to mind
What do you mean 'you hope it ain't dead...' the fact that you think it could "die" kinda implies that you gauge the "life" of something on it's popularity. How will you know when it has finally croaked? Will Rolling Stone or MTV let you know? I definitely think that the true spirit and intent of music and all creative forms of expression have been dealt a deathblow from ridiculous post like this yours. We do agree on one thing...Kirk Smithhart is incredible. HCR and NMA are both very talented
Had the privelage of meeting Kirk, Cody and Daniel at a HCR gig last night in Portland, OR. They even let me listen to the sound check. Great guyys, killer set. A real treat for a British blues boy like me trying to learn my stuff!
