If you're going to stay in the hobby, you can start with a 2.4 Ghz transmitter with receiver for about $25 from Hobbyking. It's a good cheap beginner radio and you can buy additional receivers for about $9 so you can use the same transmitter for a few models. If you can afford it, get a better quality Spektrum w/ receiver for $99 (DX5e) or $199 (DX6i). The Firebird Commander TX/RX system isn't worth ripping out to put into a slow flyer ARF model like the GWS J3 Cub.

Thanks for watching. It was cold but after the fingers get the frostbite it doesn't feel cold and in fact can't feel anything at all, LOL!
