Yvonne Smith, The Traveling Vegetarian, digs deep into Rosetta's Kitchen, an eclectic cafe blending classic southern comfort with innovative vegetarian cuisine. The restaurant produces virtually no waste and has been influential in helping other local restaurants do the same.

  • I want to move to Asheville partly bc of this place. I had it a few weeks ago and am in love! For sure try the vegan mac and cheese and the creamy mashed potatoes...OMG!!! AMAZING!!!

  • @PRESTOSAURUSREX Or how about some BBQ. I predict Hendersonville will have a BBQ restaurant on the boarder of Flat Rock in less than a year. hint hint

  • I am from asheville and i am not vegan... i have ate that restaurant before, its always have a great dishes. i would eat there again sometime. :)

  • She had no words for that veg wing & ranch dip. omg!

  • This food is what I have been missing in my life! Greens, mashed potatoes and gravy! Wow!

  • @travelingvegetarian Thanks. I appreciate it.

  • @1pigirl Ethos Vegan (downtown) is very good also The Loving Hut and Garden Cafe on Colonial.

  • That's one thing I strongly dislike about asheville... PETA voted this city like the number one place to be a vegetarian, nothing wrong with vegetarians, but I hate that

Almost every new restaurant we get is vegetarian!! We need a Jack in the box, or a steak-n-shake!!! Geez!
