After 1 battery pack, you can still touch the motor, it's warm, but not hot. and i'm using the original pinion and spur.

U should try some Lipo batts! The difference is huge. Oh, but then reliability does become a prob. :(

Hello, u can use the 4300 battery. I'm now using 4600. Its really fun to drive the hotshot, have fun when you have your hotshot

no melted gears. no slipper clutch. just stock with a brushless combo set. Just good maintenance

@Defty82 Hey dude, what size pinion you got in there? I;m building my "Super, Hot, Boomer-shot-Wig" & i'm wondering what your using, i'm kinda leaning towards the 15t pinion for now. Tahnks!! I have the sidewinder 4600KV !

since i don't have the car anymore i don't know the pinions size. I only know that it was one of the 2 that came with the car.
