  • @robm425 my one doesnt seem to recieve audio from hdmi but i think there is a way you can do it

i tested it with my 360 and laptop

  • You can play Master Audio HD and other HD codex WITHOUT an hdmi cable by using a blue ray player that has analogue out connections and plugging those cables into a receiver with analogue in capabilities. By doing this, the blue ray player is doing the HD decoding and the receiver is simply acting as an amplifier. This is a great way to get HD sound with your older receiver that doesn't have hdmi inputs.

  • can you use car subwoofers on this

  • NO, that's where you're wrong bud. In order to get full dobly true hd/ DTS master audio hd u gotta use a HDMI cable

  • i now know you need to HDMI cables to get the HD audio

Optical cables can't support HD audio

  • you should be able to use adigital optical cable to get true hd

  • wait so how does it work? i got my ps3 i connect it to the hdmi receiver and from the receiver to my tv? or from ps3 to to tv than to the hdmi receiver?

  • that would be really impressive to restore compressed audio like,mp3,aac,wma,brr etc,,,

  • Does this accept audio from HDMI cables? I would like to just transfer Dolby True-HD audio decoded by my PS3 to this reciever
