  • What if there if four wires in the cable???

    Like you were gonna put a new jack on a pair of headphones.

  • Hooray one i can answer!!! on headphones you will need a stereo jack. this will have 3 prongs to solder to. the outer / biggest one will be the one that both sides are soldered to in the wire it will be the one without a coating on. or at least the same coating colour in both. the other two prongs are for the L and R stereo signal. ie. prob white and red. fiddle but doable!!

  • just carry a spare cable hah, It is useful to know though.

  • Its true but you will see on pt 2 the problem with shop bought leads!!!!!!!!! thanks for the comment...

  • its because on head phones it has a (+) and a (-) for your left and right ear, your best to look on the internet for how to solder head phones, but your probly better off buying new ones as its realy fidly on head phones
