Go Ron Paul 2012 ! Long time Ron Paul supporter Hans Lysglimt in Oslo, Norway comments, thoughts, reflections on the Ron Paul 2012 campaign. Please share this video.
It's like a theologian, just because you can quote the bible backwards doesn't make you more of a savior.
We must remember that Ron Paul is the Christ of the liberty movement. He doesn't have to have thick hair and a monumental speaking voice He has kept the KISS message and his true followers know his voice.
Ron Paul's followers will carry his message after he is long gone. There is a being born again in congress and in the peoples hearts In time it will happen
@RonPaulRevolution4u How true. The excellence of the individual may not always be the same as the excellence society may ascribe to. Yet by and large, society not only applauds individual success, society rewards it. The balance, excellence versus meritocracy, is the difference between success and failure. When society sets the standard for excellence, everyone suffers. But when the individual sets the bar, society almost always benefits.
It is always SUCH a pleasure to hear what you have to say. I agree that we must be realistic. True, Ron Paul's candidacy in 2012 is a long shot proposition just as it was in '08. This is NOT to say he "can't" win - we must do all we can to help him - but the honest truth is that, perhaps, the masses may not yet be ready to hear what he's saying. Yet... In time they will realize there is no other way. By then he may be gone, but the ideas; the dream will still remain...
And of course, "excellence" is a subjective term. Each of us has a different conception as to what "excellence" truly "is"; therefore, ONLY in *individual liberty can one actually achieve a personal goal relative to what his/her conception of what "excellence" actually is. In any other paradigm, the standard of "excellence" is determined by the group, the state, or by totalitarian types, etc. Historically, most great thinkers, artists, etc. achieved "excellence" by their own terms.
@Somerled1 - Yes, I was lucky to leave for my holiday on the morning after it happened. I was actually less than 300 meters away just one hour before the blast, spooky. So I got some distance to it all, being at the coast. I have still not fully internalized what it means. Will comment on it eventually.
@bbburton - Appreciate that very thoughtful and insightful comment. The lines you draw up are just the ones that need more investigation. I believe you were more right about this in 1776, 1880, 1945 than you are today. Not because the principle has changed, but because the premises has changes so dramatically. Your point is still true, but it needs to be qualified.
the world is hoping for paul in 2012. we need it.

I like your analogy of the gold standard of ideas. there is something to that.
