Agreed.
Unlike me who is born in 87.
My bf is born in 82 and his fondest memories is of the 80's and things he talks about back then is so unknown to me. So all in all, because of his memory bank he is an 80's kid in my eyes.
I'm born in 87, so I know I am a 90's kid.

@ShiningStarManga Your not alone, there are others your age that considers themselves 80s kids, considering the culture didn't end until 1992.

@raymond18 Actually, that's only the really crazy people who make those claims. Normal people, like us, would realize that a person born in the late 80s is more of a 90s kid. Sort of like how people born in the late 90s are mostly 00s kids. The real problem is that people group those born in the early part of a decade with people born in the late part. The people born in the 80s tend to group the people born in the early 90s with those born in the late 90s. Early 90s babies are much older.

Thanks for making this vid! I would high five you, if I saw you :D

I agree with this video. But there is a bigger problem than that. People go as far to say that anyone born in as early as 1989 don't qualify to be 90's kids. Some even say 88 is too late. That is ridiculous that they would throw their fellow 80's born under the bus. Is it not? I dare not mention that someone who was born in 1980 was 13 by 1992 which is the starting year for the 89ers childhood. Who had more? I rest my case.

Your generation spans from the year you turn 9 to the year you turn 19. This makes my generation from 1995 to 2005., roughly half 90s, half 00s. I personally liked the 90s more.

@90sdudeofthe90s It isn't the same thing though, otherwise you'd be out buying flannel shirts and grunge cds at the time. I knew Nirvana also, but I can say it was before my time.
-
@thejoeman2002 You can be "aware" in your kid years. I was born in 86. I remember when Nirvana was popular in 92.

@90sdudeofthe90s Also, next time, read my initial comments more clearly becuase I stated a distinction there.
@lifeisgood1013
You're very welcome! *virtual high five* :D

I was born in '93 making me 17 going on 18 now, and I realize already that all these rules about who is and isn't a '90s kid is going to be so pointless years from now. My dad is 9 years older than my mom and they reminisce about a lot of things from decades past, including things from a time when my mom was a child and my dad was adolescent, so why is it so impossible for someone my age to reminisce about the '90s without people only a few years older telling them they're too young to remember?

@eleventhousandfour Precisely, I made this video for that reason alone. Many are pointlessly debating over this cut-off year rule. As a matter of fact, I just recently got into ANOTHER feud about this and a girl deleted me as a friend on Facebook over it. People really need to stop over reacting. I made this video to hopefully put an end to it all, but I guess it's barely working.

Honestly, your generation is pretty much your 18 to 24 years and it makes much sense. You aren't really aware of anything when you are a kid, and you are very insecure when you are a teenager(hence trends/fads). Once your out of school, you find about yourself and form a niche. Besides, your still a teenager, why don't you try enjoy being just that? You don't need to be a label to define yourself. I am pretty sure in 10 years the 00s will be cool and in 20 years the 10s will be as cool.

@thejoeman2002 That is true, since those are the years you can have the most fun by yourself. And I am enjoying them the best I can. :D This video is mostly for childhood memories, though.
