"Love will forgive you everything", greatest hit and evergreen of a prominent Polish singer and actress Hanka Ordonówna featured in her film "Szpieg w masce"/A Spy In The Mask/, 1933, composed by Henryk Wars to the lyrics by poet Julian Tuwim.

A beautiful, haunting song which brought tears to my eyes with its evocation of 1930s Poland; so proud, so fragile; doomed to be torn apart by two of the most brutal tyrannies the world has ever seen. And poor "Ordonka": arrested by the Gestapo then the NKVD; surviving the Gulag only to die of tuberculosis in Beirut in 1950.

It an she are both long dead. But thanks to film and sound recording they still live on.

Mam jedynie 18 lat i mieszkam od dziesieciu lat w Niemczech. Mimo to ciagnie mnie do ojczyzny, a dzieki tym przepieknym starym utworom, ktore odkrywam dopiero od jakiegos czasu, odnajduje swoja droge powrotna do tego cudownego kraju, do prawdziwych uczuc. This accent predominated in Southeastern Poland in the old Galicia. I think it was because in that area Poles and Ukrainians lived together in mixed communities. the Ukrainians pronounce their L's like that. My father spoke with this accent. He also spoke perfect Ukrainian and Russian (also German).

@dijxtramt My father was born in a small town (Dzuryn) between Stanislawow and Czortkow and that was his manner of speaking. He died in 1981.
