Wonderful! You've managed to take a traditional african instrument and done what most europeans do. Take away everything good about it and make it mess. Leave it to the people who made it and play it for better purposes. Thanks!

the keys are made of spring steel. I used an old plumber's snake made of spring steel I found in a dumpster for that one. Rake tines are commonly used, as well as filed down putty knives and saw blades...

I built this one myself. They are available on the net but they're quite pricey, Probably worth it though if you have the money. I'm not a woodworker so it was a PITA to build.

The rattle is the result of hitting it with sticks. I built it for plucking with fingers but kind of liked the overdriven effect of sticks for Titus. The score for the play NEEDED distortion!
