ONE of my FAVORITE female vocalists of all time. I have been listening since 10,000 Maniacs. Her voice stands out with her natural ability to produce emotion, power & range in a beautiful manner. She doesn't even have to try. OUTSTANDING!! I have enjoyed singing along with her songs from years ago and her solo work as well. LOVE this song!

My favorite of Natalie Merchant's songs. Simplicity brings us back down to earth and takes away all negative feelings, all resentment, and all fear. I can feel the breeze as I sit by that river and everything is alright.

I pretty much grew up on Natalie. I used to go to the river all the time since it was so close to the house. Under the barbwire fence and over the stone wall. This hits home. :)
