Don't buy these hubs! I just bought these last week (new 2011) and already took them off my bike.. I wish somebody like me posted how bad these are before I wasted my money..Go with Chris King if you're going to spend that kind of money.. I'll be posting a video soon showing everybody how bad they really are..
The only complaint I’d have about these hubs is the cheesy font used to write “STEALTH”. Other than that, they sound f-ing great and I’m going to buy a set very shortly.
these things are stupid easy to service, remove a lock ring, pull the axle out, remove the freehub, clean it out, squirt some ATF in, and reassemble! it's seriously a 3 minute job
CHRIS KING has the hub market pretty much cornered because of their reputation. When it comes to long life and serviceability king has got it down. I have one of their iso disc rear hubs with about 20,000 miles on it and it was only serviced once so far with the next servicing coming up soon.
I bought one of these a couple of months ago, laced to a Stans ZTR hoop. They really do rock. Once you've tried instant engagement it's hard to go back.
Kind of surprising they aren't more widespread in the mtb world.
