It's crazy to read sentences like "if nature haven't delivered onto them the gift of reproducing, maybe it's because nature desires their genetics to extinct", it's disgusting. So, if you have a CANCER...you don't have to care because IT'S NATURE! ISN'T IT?

IVF isn't only for infertile couples. I have a son who we was diagnosed through his newborn screen with Cystic Fibrosis. We had no history or indication that we were both carriers for the disease and have a perfectly healthy daughter who is genetically fine. Our son is going to die, not only from the CF but from some heart defects he has as well. IVF is a means for us to have more children without having to watch them die.

@RECS1987 the reason why most couples can't have babies in the first place has nothing to do with genes that get passed down, and have no genetic defects. Sperm cells have their own DNA, in fact about 50% of the sperm a male produces is defective, not MUTATED GENETICALLY (unless it's in the mitochondria dna of the flagellum), but PHYSICALLY DEFECTIVE. To bring darwinism into this is completely irrelevant, because genes play no role in this.

@recs1987 your darwin theory is flawed, the Brown duaghters (Louise and Natalie) who were both concieved through IVF both gave birth to children NATURALLY. @alina20072011 doesn't gods plan include given humans intelligence to overcome problems?..He gave us the ability to develop these procedure, so therefore it was in god's plan.

Of course you shouldn't let yourself die of cancer, c'mon. I'm talking about preventing a new life being born into the same pains of infertility and thereby save the human races genes. It's cynical, but you can't deny Darwin...

that is so sick it should have never be done yeah first abort babies cos you r not ready then have ivf cos you decided you are ready that is not Gods plan for you to decided.............. if you cant have kids then adopted end of story there is lots of babies waiting for adoption

@mekatie88 That didn't actually happen. What you saw was a picture taken of eleven unrelated babies born on 11/11/2011. The rest was an internet myth.
