Training - Kubaton Basics DVD
Filmed during an actual seminar for some first time students (mostly University of Minnesota) with no prior knowledge of kubaton usage, this DVD deals with the very basics of kubaton deployment.

The purpose of this DVD is to teach those with no prior knowledge of kubaton usage some easily learned skills that can mean the difference in an attack.

It covers striking, defenses, releases and pressure points.

Taught by 7th degree Black-Belt Judo Master Tom Crone.

Running time - 59 minutes.

  • 0:43 wow why not just learn some basic strikes instead of taking the time to reach into ur pocket and grab this

  • The college students in the video were learning how to use a kubaton...their credentials are not listed.

Meaning they may or may not know how to punch, block, kick, etc...

The young lady in the video at the time the video was made (over a year ago) had just got her green belt in Judo...

What's shown in a youtube video is not the "end all be all of everything."

    It is what it is...

  • the kubaton is made out of metal right

  • No...negative...super strong, indestructable (through normal use) polymer.

The ones sold at Alpha Innovations are usually black, they have other colors available.

Thr ones use in the training video are gray training kubatons...softer than the real ones.

  • @HELLZZARMY Hey Friend I have the same Kubaton as you and it's from Alpha Inno.

They are really tough and rugged. Have you ever break any glass with that before?

  • @MrQuackism ...no haven't had the oppurtunity to break glass with it.

  • @chevygearhead454 a kubaton is a force multiplier man... you do so much more damage than you do with just your bare fists.

  • @andrewubaldi most Kubatons that are cheaper are made from aluminum, which works though it's heavier. the Kubaton used here are made from super strong polymer, which is lighter. this allows for way easier use, and just carrying around plus polymer doesn't loose its color as easily as aluminum does lol

  • So when you're assaulted, you stab the bad guy with a magic marker? Cool..

  • Lmao, I was asking you! I'm a complete novice with a Kubaton.

I recently purchased one from BudK and I've been trying to learn some strikes. :P
