Students respond to tragic accident by speaking out to make a difference in hopes of saving lives. On July 26, 2007, Doug Clifton, a Vista High School sophomore, lost control of his skateboard while riding down the street he lived on in Oceanside. He died from injuries he sustained when he crashed into a parked car while riding a skateboard without a helmet. In response to Doug’s tragic accident, and in memory of him, the students at Vista High School are trying to make difference, to get the word out; Wear Your Helmet, Save Your Life.
