In a controversial move, a judge has overturned bans placed on the alleged vandal of the North Melbourne railway station after she cited it would be unfair as she has no other way of transport. As reported by Channel 7 6pm evening news, 10 January 2012

  • @MUNCHLAXSNORLAX22 The grounds of 'visiting friends' as described in the news channel to lift the ban does not sound reasonable at all. I am sure every sensible commuter of Melbourne will have a big question mark on this.

    Were there any other serious reasons the news didn't mention and did police earlier order her to clean this mess? If none of these events happened, then the only reason is to visit friends?

    If she is caught again, I hope there will be no relent from the magistrate.

  • It's disappointing that the decision of the magistrate was to lift the ban. The opinion expressed by Victoria Police is correct, I believe the police that are involved with communicating about this case to the Magistrate are not just thinking and concerned about this offender's behaviour, but also as well as the example this will present to all other people involved with this kind of crime.

  • What a piss weak judge. You abuse the train system, you don't get to use it.To bad if you can't get around.
