@sallyali8 It's Called Cheering

thank you BaileyMalaylee. I know how you feel you get I get called that too!

I'm 21, and there are actually quite a few women much older than me in classes, so don't let age stop you! the distance though...that may be a problem.

Ah, I see. :) Thanks for clearing that up. Like I said I barely know anythign aboout the art of ID; I LOVE all the big shows and find ID in its traditional form as well to eb absolutely compelling. I would kill to be able to take classes (for my own enjoyment solely as I am almost 26) but there aren't any where I live...only one place in Sweden does them and going there would take me six hours by car one way. :( It breaks my heart because I love it so much.

Actually I don't see any problem with their knees. If it's some of the girls that your talking about it could be the fact that they are wearing poodle socks rather than black tights that make it look that way & this kind of dancing can actually be harder than the stuff they do in the big shows a lot of the stuff they need for those shows is filler to get from one place to another & here it's all about style & technique & if you can get across the stage while doing it then that's a good sign.

How is this funny? You only laugh because you can't do it yourself.

Well when you're Irish Dancing, you have to always have your toes pointed outward and your knees crossed, if the legs aren't completely crossed then yes, it will look a little awkward with the knees. But other than that, these guys are pretty awesome (this coming from an Irish Dancer of 16 years) and they still have plenty of time to work out the kinks.
