This song is autobiographical. I am updating this info today 10-25-2008 which is one day after the sixteen year anniversary of my sister's tragic murder. The thing is there is much aftermath after such an event and things happen. Good and bad and we all try to pull it together afterward. Meds are prescribed and many ways of trying to get through such an ordeal.. well.. I am sure many can imagine it isn't easy. But we do make it. However the aftermath isn't easy. But in the process pride ends up taking a back seat for sure, it has to. Otherwise we would hide from ourselves and never forgive ourselves. I made it through but this song tells a lot of the way I did it. I found solace in it and I hope others do too. I am "that girl over yonder" in the first verse. I am then the first person throughout the rest of the song. The babys being gone were my kids in the first verse as well. The empty silence was not having the sound of my children with me in my house at night which nearly tore me to pieces. The person that was crying in his beer was a friend at a karaoke club. A group of us met weekly. It was sort of our unofficial therapy group. Singing got me trhough for sure. Music was my therapy. It still is but I don't need it as much., This song was written as a result of what I needed to learn and what I did learn and I still turn to it to this day to remember what I learned. I hope it touches you. It grounds me still to this day. Because no matter what mistakes we have made, our histories do not define us unless we let them. It truly is our choice however I think we forget how much choice we have in this life. I hope this song reminds people of that choice. I hope people remember to take that choice and empower themselves and take action. It truly is that simple. Tomorrow's history starts TODAY. Decide what that is going to be now. We always have that choice. It is such a beautiful thing. Regardless of what our past holds however negative (Or positive for that matter) today we create tomorrow's history. And I mean regardless of how bad we THINK the past has been. Love can ALWAYS be today's choice for the future from here on out. I TRULY believe that and stick to that. Much love and hugs to all.

don't know why she isn't star - she had more voice and talent as much other "country singers" - it's a shame that she had to leave. but it might be that the lord himself wanted a high class singer at his side?
