On November 4, 2008, voters in California passed Proposition 8, using their state's constitution to abolish the rights of same-sex couples to marry. Proposition 8 passed by nearly 600,000 votes. On November 15, 1,000,000 people gathered throughout the U.S. to protest this decision. Among the million, there was a small group of around fifty protesters in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Their story is told here, in one of many videos that were made that day.
