Anecdote about Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- On May 5, Juche 86 (1997), Kim Jong Il gave on-the-spot guidance to the general bureau of TV Broadcasting of the Radio and TV Broadcasting Committee of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. He took measures to improve the conditions of TV broadcasting equipment and the quality of screen and learned about how the new educational and cultural TV broadcasting was going on. At that time the new program was mainly dealing with education at school and scenic beauty, similar to the central TV broadcasting. The new broadcasting should not be merely a business-like work to give more common sense and knowledge to the working people but also a lofty undertaking to consolidate the foundations of morality and obligation in society. He said the broadcasting should deal with things actually needed for the people's life such as traffic order and public morality, and indicated how to do it. The educational and cultural program, popular among the people, is a product of the on-the-spot guidance of Kim Jong Il, well aware of the people's demand and aspiration.

Kim Jong Il sends gifts to leading media of DPRK
Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) - General Secretary Kim Jong Il sent gifts to the Rodong Sinmun, the Korean Central News Agency and the Radio and TV Broadcasting Committee of the DPRK. He has always paid deep attention to the newspaper of the Workers' Party of Korea, the news agency and the broadcasting organisation which play a pivotal role on the ideological front of the party. This time he showed such profound loving care as providing again many latest type computers and their related facilites to them. A ceremony of conveying the gifts took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Monday. After an address was made by secretary of the WPK Central Committee Jong Ha Chol to convey the gifts, director general of the KCNA Kim Ki Ryong and others evinced their resolutions to repay the great solicitude.

  • I can't believe DirecTV or Dish Network still don't have any North Korean TV channels!

  • @elena79rus of course, the American imperialist government would not allow DPRK TV station to be broadcasted in the US.

  • @atiu88 North Koreans have been poisoned with false propaganda and little human rights. Almost all western countries now oppose North Korea. According to Wikileaks, a document from China sees North Korea as a 'spoiled child' so no, not even China is with you now.

  • @lookingatyouu 그게 전부 사실

  • World says that North Korea is the only country isolated from the world.

  • @melonbarmonster ------>USSR Healthcare system was better. Community hospital in U.S which is still charged lol, is B.S. In USSR hospital, facilities looked butt ugly but doc's knew their shit. And u had concept of a "family doc" so diagnosing u was a lot more patient friendly....and LOL whoever told u USSR and GDR didn't have world class multi speciality- inc. cancer treatment-hosiptal?!

  • @melonbarmonster ----------There is no cancer treatment in communist countries------>Check up USSR please and on number of Indians who received treatment 4 cancer in USSR. U might also want to review our own semi Socialist healthcare system under Indhira Gandhi. If u want to assess DPRK infrastructure, u should look at it before 1982. Any country's infra gets fucked if it's sanctioned to the brim.

  • @melonbarmonster ----------------There is no cancer treatment in communist countries. --------->There certainly was in Pyongyang in 80s and SURELY in USSR and I KNOW this because they imparted expertise to us in India early on in cancer treat Yep. Healthcare in NK is piss ant crap compared to the United States, but DECADES ahead of COMPARABLE third world countries like India and Pakistan or Sudan. It is unfair to compare third world w/ first world country.

  • @xxxdieselyyy There is no cancer treatment in communist countries. Healthcare in all communist countries including North Korea is so poor that you would get far better treatment in US even if you just walked into ER and got free care.

  • @melonbarmonster ----------there has not been one communist nation that didn't have a elite vs. common class division. equality my ass. ------------>Of course a Communist country a scientist got better home and better access to material than janitor, but at the same time, a janitor needing cancer treatment got better priority over scientist who want to look 20 years younger, or village kid got SAME quality of school as a urban dweller. That NEVER happens in capitalist country n Asia.
