I guess I meant if he ever brought "Curry Brand Cat Food" home to the cat. I read elsewhere that the cat ran away.

I wonder if Owen has the great personality to make this role shine beyond the usual film noir. Owen is great at melting behind a role. And if you look at this version for instance, the great thing about it is Elliot Gould's unique personality.

Good point. The key would be to find either a non-leading man type that can still fill the role or a leading man that can be understated.
