I like the way the rear number plate isn't even on straight in the advert. This tells you everything you need to know about Vauxhall cars in the 80's. They even filmed it on a deserted road as it would have been too dangerous to drive that thing near other people.

The Cavalier was shit. The Calibra was much better and even to this day it's a good car, we had a 16v 2 litre turbo a few years back and it fuckin' flew - the boy racers were just a dot in the rear view mirror.

Ha, ha! Yeah right, the escorts are going to ditch a classy Caddy for a crappy styled, long forgotten Vauxhall! :) No offense but what were the Brits thinking when they built this car? I mean, the Brits are experts on quality but they perhaps gave in to commercialism. Anyway, I barely recognize Hugh Laurie in this ad. He was really good looking back then. Now he looks like an angry and scruffy! Sorry girls!
