How is he a Nazi? A Black person is not english. A white person who moves to Pakistan is not pakistani. This all revolves around identity, something we hold dear. This IS GREAT. I AGREE WITH TEBBIT. I am from Spain, I AM OF SPANISH ORIGIN. If a Black person moves here, HE IS NOT SPANISH. Why doesn't the black person "get it"? Nationality IS NOT the same as race or ethnicity.

Wether English is indefinable or not, it cannot be ignored that in very recent history and the lifetimes of people still alive today, Britain has gone from an overwhelmingly white nation to one with a drastically increased number of immigrants and their descendants.

The few that were here in the past (only 8,000 black people in the thirties) were always seen as foreigners, local celebrites where they lived, but after the windrush in particular, race issues have become more intense. Has a point

Im from manchester man I know what you mean. But the definition of what English is, isn't fixed. It's pointless to try to define it, ethnicity is under constant change.

You don't understand what English or ethnicity in these regions means mate, its very tribal youre getting it all mixed up. The name English has its origins tracing back to the names of the Germanic (not specifically German) tribes that came here when they migrated.

The anglo saxon/english descendants are the cousins and siblings of the first inhabitants of great britain that had migrated their from the north western lands of europe which would also make the prior inhabitants german and scandinavian etc. Just like africa with different forms of african people they are still considered african even though their genetic make up may differ. Now I live in australia does that make me aboriginal even though I was born here, legally no and neither should I be.
