Returning from a business trip to Nelson, it was a gloriously sunny day both there and in Wellington where we stopped to catch our connecting flight. But then we got a text from home saying it was thunder and lightening there so we didn't know what to expect or how rough the flight would be. All went well for the first 40mins or so but by the time we were getting close to Tauranga... the sky had gone black and we were flying blind in a world of cloud & wind. The turbulence was incredible and you can hear my nervous laugh every time it hit us. The vid isnt really all that good.. but I had to post it anyway! Enjoy :)

  • Why are you nervous about turbulence, it wont knock the plane out of the air of anything, the only ting you should worry about is both engines dieing, or the plane exploding, lol jk. Flying is A LOT safer than driving!!!

  • Man i love flying into clouds....With all that turbulence makes the flight happening..

  • I have to own up to being totally petrified on an NZ flight in appalling weather on a Beech 1900. Swore never again, but oh well I did survive it.

  • @interceptorcrj yea, and even if both engines fail, the plane can safely glide like a bird :)

  • Awesome I flew through the rain and it was really cool sadly no turbulence

  • @BigBen12120 its actually cost fast it just looks slow, just like car rims

  • @syafiqpilot I like when you hit the clouds you cant see anything out the window but white. Then you come above it and its like 'Sky Chase Zone' from Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

  • did anyone else notice how the propeller is moving super slow starting at 2:!7

  • If there were as many planes as their are cars, and if people flew as much as they drove, you could only imagine the death toll from flying. The ONLY reason people say flying is safer, is because the sheer numbers arent there. Increase the numbers to car-level, and then we'll talk. If there were only a few thousand cars on this entire earth, how many people do you think would die annually? mmmhmm

  • @interceptorcrj dying*

  • what plane were you on? type

  • I didnt see any turbulence on this video...whats the big deal?
