@kickboxingchampions9 yeah it was Courtney Fry who use to box at Islington, won a few national championships there & went onto box internationally for England & won a Commonwealth Gold Medal in 1998 & represented Great Britain in the Olympics in 2000.

@tylerdurden786 no you don't have to be, we'll look after you at our gym. It depends what you want to do also, we offer competitive boxing sessions for those that want to be amateur boxers or our recreational boxing sessions for those that don't want to get hit nor compete. In 6 months or so since this documentary was filmed the Islington Boxing Club has changed so much for the better. If anybody was to pay a visit to the gym now you would not think that this is the same gym as featured in the video. Recently it has had an extension put in place in the downstairs gym and the club has been painted/decorated in the club colours of red & white. This is only the start from Team Islington, more is to come!!!!
