Too bad the deleted scenes didn't make it in the movie. Killed good plot of the movie. Drive, please.

I love how Dickie always has a gin martini! Classic! Nothing like driving on a backroad in thick fog holding a gin martini!

I have the movie, and remember seeing the original movie in the theater. I remember all 4 scenes ... funny still...LOL

Thanks for posting the deleted scenes! One of my all time favorite movies. I saw the movie 3 times when it was first released in 1976. Then I recorded it on cassette when it was on ABC TV. I loved the extra scenes and couldn't believe they deleted them and I know they weren't in the theatrical release. Was hoping they would be on the DVD but they are not.

@malfunksyon If I might recall, "Treacherous road like fresh mushrooms, must always check for poison!" Or something akin to that.

@mastmedia to extend the run time, they did it to naked gun also, i had a copy of that and we used to watch it while drinking in college, maybe 100 times, i could recite that movie backwards, then i saw it on tv with deleted scenes and it blew me away, that was my first experience with the phenomenon, the theatrical release of MBD did not have these scenes either, good film, but could have been much better

@carport888 T "These were recorded from a TV broadcast in the 80s."
They did that quite often in the 80's. It's weird.
HBO whould often show extended version of films that sometimes required an intermission. Legend and Dune were two examples I can think of.
These versions can only be gotten on bootleg at special conventions now.
I often wondered why the studios did that for television.

These were recorded from a TV broadcast in the 80s. Interestingly enough, they were part of the movie in the broadcast, and do not appear anywhere on the DVD.
