This is a follow up to a video I posted here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWUBzWNSvIc showing my further attempts at a quality EMGD driver for the Vaio X series GMA 500 graphics adapter. While this driver is mostly functional it comes with some drawbacks from using the official Intel driver available on support.sony.com - mostly that the software package (intel extreme) is currently unavailable with EMGD. I've used this as my daily driver (hahha) for 72 hours without issue - it's stable and safe.

actually I don't need those fancy stuff with brightness control buttons etc.. I just need to have GPU driver running + vlc with hw acceleration. I have used fit2pc modified kernel on ubuntu karmic with IEGD driver. works more than great with mplayer-vaapi, but I need vlc :(

@zochpeter No :(
Linux kernel 3.2 only supports native resolution. No brightness control. I can't see any performance improvements since 3.1
