Deutschland was behind Hitler. Perhaps you should read the statements of Lloyd George and other high ministers from the British government at the time. They all admired Hitler's fortitude, courage, and dedication to rebuilding Germany. Lloyd George flat out says that the young love him and the old in Germany trust him. Germany was devastated from 1919-1933. Hitler was the strong, fiery leader a great nation needed to rebuild and the people adored him.
