Since my first attempt to arrange "Strange kinda Woman" of Deep Purple is terrible (false, too quick etc.) I made a new version with bass part and added to it my "Fungun" theme. It,s a one man drum jam, and I played into it a bit "Smoke on the Water" riff (which I can,t stand) á la made in Japan and a little "Black Dog" made by Led Zeppelin. The latter was inspired by MrDrummerTheo's band cover which is better than the original.
Maybe Smoke on the Water (SoW) and Black Dog are the most wellknown riffs of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. I prefer definitely Blackmore's style to Page, but comparing ZEP "trademark" (BD), the latter is far more better. Though I,m absolutely a Blackmore fun, must say that SoW is Ritchie's worst riff - to me. Too simple - I dare to say primitive - very monotone, has very dull rhythm, and I never understood the reason for it's popularity. Maybe coz easy to play on the guitar? But Black Dog is not much more complicated... (has only one more note) and much better - to me.

  • @LuigiMontanaro2 Hi Son! Thank for analyzing! From 1:14 I tried to give back a bit form the impro of Made in Japan version. You know, I don,t like Smoke on the Watwer - to listen. But sometimes I play it just for fun.

    Hope You,re well!

  • @RitchieBlackmoreTv Thank You, Ritchie! Very big honour! Tbh I always make more or less mistakes, but since these works are not for CD and are recorded only by a lonely cam (no mics and mixer), after a while - when I want to deal with my next work, or when the joy starts to evaporate - I choose the least bad recorded version and upload.

Anyway You - Blackmore - gave me the most from MUSIC by Your/His solos. Simply never enough!
