NUFC Tribute to Gary Speed (1969 - 2011)

A tribute to Newcastle hero Gary Speed who tragically died on 27th November 2011. A true gentleman and professional of football and will be missed by everybody in the world of football.

He played for Leeds United, Everton, Newcastle United, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United. Here is a tribute to commemorate his years as a Newcastle player.

Please be warned it is a very moving tribute so may cause upset.

A great shame. Fantastic memories of my teenage years and the Champions League. Fit as a fiddle and always grafting. The steel in the midfield to let Robert, Dyer et al do their work. Not that he was short of any class either and Christ, he could 'narf head a ball too. Always remembered his wet look gel and beaming smile. The news had me devastated. Cheers Gary lad, you wont be forgotten.

Our best friend Ian died last year. He was a passionate Newcastle fan, and greatly admired Speedo. Not a day goes by that I don't think of Ian. Please take care of Gary in heaven.
