Pulling down the flags at almost equal speeds.

Every day on the Lahore to Amritsar, Pakistan/India-border an interesting, nationalistic ceremony is held. The ceremony probably originated from a small military step dancing when the flags were pulled down after closing the border. Now it's a big thing with thousands of Indians and Pakistanis watching the callings, very fast marches and peculiar step dancing of the soldiers. Of course Indians stay on the Indian side and Pakistanis on the Pakistan side of the big gate, cheering for their "team".

  • indeed, yes :)

    Not sure about weekends though.

It's the (horrid) climax of nationalism, every day.
