My Lucky Day (at Architecture School)

Movie project for Architecture/Cinema Class. Filmed @ University of Puerto Rico's Architecture School- May 2007.

Plot (remade because of time limitations):
Shellar, a first year student in University of Puerto Rico's Architecture School is overwhelmed by the inhuman amount of work she needs to finish before her final design presentation. During the last night before the final presentations, she arrives late for her last desk critique and she ends up getting critiqued only by the teacher's assistant. After the critique, instead of finishing her work, she falls asleep and after that, everything goes wrong. Was it all just a bad dream?

Note: NO MODELS WHERE HARMED DURING THE PRODUCTION OF THIS MOVIE...........yes, we didn't harmed them, we VIOLATED them all! Bwwaahahahahahhhhaaaaaaa.

Editing, music, fx, etc. done by me in about 6 hours...all done THE NIGHT BEFORE the public screening. IT WAS MADE IN A HURRY.....I edited out a loooot of scenes and remade the plot in order to be able to finish the project for the day it was due. I need to re-edit the movie to better synchronize some scenes with the music. I also need to fix the soundtrack's remix and transitions.

Due to the lack of time I had to finish this project, I edited out a loooot of other scenes where our architecture school is destroyed and the main character (Shellar Garcia) is "killed" by a creature (a mock-up of our design professor)

I'll be posting up the re-edited movie as soon as I end it and fix everything.

Check out my other videos for the movie's second part trailer (the destruction of the Architecture school). There is also a special effects pre-viz shot...to test the compositing software I was using for the destruction scene...It's just a test! I know it looks really fake. The final rendered shots will look waaaaaay better.

THE WHOLE MOVIE DOESNT MAKE JUSTICE TO IT!!..lol

I edited all of this just a few hours before the premier @ the School's auditorium. It was all done in like 6-7 hours of NON-STOP editing...not even for water. There's like 3 full hours of footage that didn't made it to this crappy preliminar edit. The original script's story was somewhat different than this one. I hadn't enough time to finish the green screen compositing stuff and that changed everything. The full ORIGINAL movie is coming soon

I loved your video,it so reminds me of my days in architecture school NYIT, in long island NY.No sleep,No social life,No joke..all PARTii.Final critique day was a mad rush to the black & white photo lab for portfolio pics,gut wrenching stress,collapsing foamcore models,missing pieces on my 1/16 scale staircases and last minute creative doubt...but GOD do i miss it.Good luck to you and your final years....charette.. Charette!!

Hm.. seems your faculty is situated in an indusrial hall... =) well the whole video seems to me like the one called Women Know Your Limits! look it up on you tube =) it's hillarius and this becomes too after watching that.
