I still have my really really old - about 5 years now - lenovo v920 phone. still working :) brought it from China

I have a 3 year old Lenovo laptop and it still works great. It isn't even a high end machine, just a budget G530. It doesn't heat up, it's reliable, stable and i've seen no significant performance drop (the processor's clock rate has slowed down by only a few hertz). The only thing that's broken is the battery, which is made by Sony.
The chinese can make great products if they really want to. "Made in China" isn't synonymous with poor quality anymore.

Doesn't the t61 have a IBM logo on it I know the t60 had a IBM logo on it.

why are people hating on lenovo b/c it is a chinese company? we all know that thinkpads from lenovo are good laptops but is it b/c its from china that we are making such a big deal??

I don't know man, I bought a T61 recently and it seems just as good as the IBM ones I've had in the past.
Regardless, if they did bring the quality down, I believe it still exceeds that of HP, Dell, Gateway, Apple, etc.
