UN issues food price rises report - 22 May 2008

In the world's poorest nations, the hungry and the starving are being stalked by a new threat to their lives. Globally, the price of food is soaring - and that means the cost of importing vital supplies is stretching developing countries to breaking point.




The latest study by the United Nations shows just how hard some of the worst off countries are being hit.

This is a total ignorance of the facts and the Root Cause of the problem. It's not the Fed, the US Dollar, wheat supply, production of Bio Fuel NOR can it be Solved with Internation Cooperation.

Stop using ethanol. It is just a god damned distraction! It is just a created illusion to make people believe we are helping the environment by sacrificing noting!

They blame all sorts of supply and demand factors as being the major causes, but in the last year, supply hasn't halved, and demand hasn't doubled. The real story is in the fact that Ben Bernanke and his partners-in-crime at the Fed have been flooding the world with USD to try to prop up the US economy and financial system. Those dollars flooding the market make everything traded in USD more expensive: oil, wheat, rice, corn, etc.

We need to get rid of the Fed. Failing that, don't trade in USD!
