The audio quality on this is terrible... so much clipping at higher decibels it grates on the ears. Agh! Like fingernails on a blackboard between 4:30-4:40. Besides just poor audio, the arrangement isn't that impressive, the Western stringed instruments are more in conflict than harmony with the guzheng soloist.

Check out Jian Nan Zhou playing the Guzheng in the 12 Girls Band videos Ruten, Carnival and Dun Huang. A different style than this which is highly technical but she really rocks and looks so lovely and artistic playing.

of course not =) it's just more women like to play this...same reason why there is more female flute or harp players. It's not restrictive by any means

and to those who think GuZheng is unlike a guitar, there is a vid on youtube with a 12 year old girl playing just as good as any other GuZheng player i've seen on youtube so far.

No. It's like the Western Harp, you see mostly women playing it but it's not restricted.
