While teaching ForGIVEness workshops while traveling in VA, I stumbled upon this excellent community - college - sing fest of Handle's Messiah on the campus of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. What a beautiful program it is.

Can you believe I recorded this with a tiny little Sony "credit card" camera. I think the sound is awesome. And the video. I LOVE this little camera... it's been all around the world with me.

Likewise, I attended this event in the late 1970's. It was a life-changing experience!

The same for me. I was taken there by friends in the early 80's without knowing what I was getting into. The participants came close to taking the trumpet player on their shoulders. An unforgettable experience.

Outstanding! I had the luck to be visiting UVA when they did this in the early 1980's and it was a very moving experience! Bravo for continuing this tradition!
