So true, I think vibrato is the by product of an excercised voice, and trying to supress it only chokes the voice

@tuningmylifearound I'm not certified yet so won't add advice except to say that I do believe if you keep going and keep working with the SLS tools and keep training with a certified teacher and keep doing the work in between classes then you will experience the changes you desire. Some people take longer and I've heard that from interviews with the level 5 coaches. Don't give energy to the doubt or the frustration, give energy to what is improved, your range is improved. You're doing great!!

okay, thanks for your recommendations.:) i already have actually, but she always seem so convincing that whenever she's explaining things, all doubts seem to disappear. they do return during self-practice at home though, LOL! but anyways, i'll keep trying to bring it up with her. thanks for all your responses, myknittingblog!

@tuningmylifearound I am not qualified to give advice on that yet but why don't you have a talk with your coach about feeling frustrated with that area of your voice. I think people progress at different rates, what I do know is that it's good to just keep going with it. If you have already improved a lot in the last five months that's great. Ask Guy what he thinks he's an amazing coach.

it can get frustrating sometimes because it can get really hard to sing songs between C4 and F4 when your lower mix doesn't sound strong. and sadly, most songs like hanging around that area, making things difficult. it's ironic because i'd be waaay better off if the song goes beyond F4, where there's no doubt that head voice has to be used in the mix (or by itself).:D ah well...takes time...

hi! thanks very much for your advice.:) i actually am taking lessons from a certified SLS instructor at the moment...have been for almost 5 months i think. i've been vocalising almost every day and have improved loads. i'm just trying to grasp the concept because i do lots of research on the voice, and would just like to hear what others have to say about issues relating to singing.:) i'm still having a hard time getting a stronger sound from my lower mix though...

@tuningmylifearound p.s. I also suggest you train with a certified speech level singing teacher because this is the source where all the other similar technique people come from. There are many people selling singing lessons online who studied first with Seth Riggs and studied speech level singing. The originator will always give the best information and funnily enough it's also the less expensive! I can't stress this enough.
