California's Golden Parks #162 - Trona Pinnacles

The Trona Pinnacles are one of the most unusual geological features in California. The unusual landscape consists of more than 500 tufa spires, some as high as 140 feet rising from a dry lake bed. The Pinnacles have been used as a backdrop fort hundreds of movies and TV shows.

Best place I ever lived! I didn't say the nicest I said the Best. Head down into pannamint valley. hang a left on black top road go down 1/2 mile pull over and rock hound. Found all kinds of things plus jem stones. Gold too! bring lots of water and take a deep breath.
