  • @garfieldandfriends1 MSE is not good.

  • Microsoft Security Essentials is pretty bad. Poor detection rates.

  • go task manager and turn off malware then delete it :P manully lol if scan don't detect it

  • @joe18370 No, but it's not very useful. Recently, bottom of the ratings on detection, as well as self protection. Useless.

You know, if it was any good, people wouldn't get infected in the first place, yet sure enough, they do. It may show up in a scan, yet it should get caught on the fly, right.

  • Microsoft secuirty essentials + zonealarm firewall = Completley Protected.

  • does this take up a huge amount of your hard drive

  • COMBOFIX kills everything!!!

  • @Yelkwood9 Mcafee told MS that when they just made Microsoft Security Essentials 1.0 if it was ever shiped with any version of windows they would have a law suit

  • @mat9462

The antivirus companies have no intellectual rights to windows, so this isn't true. It's just easier for microsoft to let third parties handle it. It's not like people are going to pay more for windows because it has antivirus when they can get a free one online that is probably better.
