No it does not, sounds loud on video due to microphone. The sound when running normally does not intrude. When loco is away, can't hear it.
Not aware of being able to switch it off as have not wanted to.Not aware of any volume control either, am sure Roundhouse can answer you questions.

Great video! Does the sound get to you after a while? Can you adjust the volume or turn it off?
