Pro-Tibet activists have promised a strong but non-violent protest when the Olympic flame reaches Canberra for the Australian leg on April 24.

@godscuttingyoudown Care to elaborate your first sentence? China doesn't have any ambitions to become an empire; it currently doesn't have the capabilities to do so. The US - which is doing anything it can to paint China as a global threat - on the other hand is the only hegemon in this world.

You are right that China cannot defeat the US in a conventional war for a long time, but 21st century warfare doesn't only limit itself to conventional weapons if you didn't know.
