De selectie en staff van Vitesse verblijven van 4 januari 2012 tot 13 januari 2012 op Cyrpus voor een trainingskamp. Nieuwe gezichten in de selectie zijn Jonathan Reis, Mike Havenaar en Mart Lieder.

De meegereisde selectie bestaat uit:

* Keepers: Piet Velthuizen, Eloy Room, Marko Meerits.

* Verdedigers: Guram Kashia, Tomas Kalas, Frank van der Struijk, Michihiro Yasuda, Alexander Büttner en Kevin van Diermen.

* Middenvelders: Marco van Ginkel, Davy Pröpper, Stanley Aborah, Jan-Arie van der Heijden en Nicky Hofs.

* Aanvallers: Mike Havenaar, Jonathan Reis, Mart Lieder, Marcus Pedersen, Renatio Ibarra, Giorgi Chanturia, Julian Jenner, Ulises Dávilla, Valeri Qazaishvilli, Genaro Snijders en Wimilio Vink.

    Although his roots are Dutch, but he was born and raised in Japan. He is Japanese to us, we might think otherwise..

  • Seems he has a Japanese accent in his Dutch.

  • It's funny to hear his English, because he has a strong Dutch accent while he is speaking English, although he lived mostly in Japan, he must have learned English from his parents as well :D

  • Havenaar sounds like he is speaking English rather than Dutch.
