It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 27 Part 2

Kevin: (Disappointed in Nick, he looks at him) Why did this happen?
Nick: I got jealous the other night when I learned that Joe and Demi were having sex. I dont know why, but I did. So I kissed her on impulse. The next morning she kissed me, because we both felt something when it happened the first time. Afterwards, we decided that the best thing to do was to tell Joe and Selena, because she loves him, and I love Sel. Thats about it. End of story. And nothing like it will ever happen again, because we dont love each other like that. Weve been friends forever, her and I, and thats all it was. Joe, I swear. Im sorry.
Kevin: (Looks at Joe) Shes 16, Joseph. Youre 18, soon to be 19. You really think having sex with her was a good idea?
Joe: I love her.
Nick: Then why arent you with her now?
Joe: Butt out, Nick. I think youve done enough already. Go be with your bed buddy, Selena, would you?
Kevin: (Looks at Nick) Nicholas. I thought you learned from the last girls you slept with that it wasnt a good idea.
Nick: I love her.
Kevin: I am really disappointed in the both of you right now.
Nick: Well, while youre in a being disappointed mood, I might as well tell you now.
Kevin: (Confused, he sighs) Tell me what?
Nick: (Takes a deep breath) Selena is pregnant.
Kevin: (Eyes widen) Tell me you used protection.
Nick: She said she was on the pill.
Kevin: So she got pregnant on purpose?
Nick: (Thinks about what he just said, he whispers) She said she must have forgotten it that week. But what if it was on purpose? Why would she do that?
Joe: (Laughs) Shes youre girlfriend. Or I mean was. At least, once you tell her what happened with you and her best friend, Im sure it will become a was.
Kevin: (Looks at Joe) You used protection with Demi, right?
Joe: Of course I did. Im not stupid. She already got pregnant once, like Id want that to happen again.
Nick: The first time wasnt her fault, you asshole.
Kevin: Watch your mouth, Nick.
Joe: Thats it. Both of you just get out of my room, Im sick of your bullshit.
Kevin: Okay, I know that you both are upset. But there is no reason to be talking with that kind of language. Now, Nick; it looks like you need to talk to Selena about this. You have to explore youre options and make a decision. Because if youre keeping it, you need to get a job. I cant afford to support another life, especially a baby. And Joe; while were on the topics of jobs, youre old enough that you should be looking for one too.
Nick: (Sighs) Fine. Ill go talk with her, and then look for a job. Because there is no way were not keeping this baby (Walks out of the room and calls Selena)
Joe: No problem, Kevin. Ill get a job ASAP. And once I do, Ill also be getting my own apartment. Thanks for everything, but its time for me to grow up and move on.
Kevin: What ever you think is best, Joe. As long as youre happy (Walks out of the room).
Joe: (Under his breath) I will be, eventually.

*On the phone with Nick and Selena*
Nick: We need to talk, Sel.
Selena: Weve talked enough. Ive decided to put the baby up for adoption.
Nick: Babe, you cant do that. Its my baby too.
Selena: Dont call me babe. Were over, Nick. And if you care for me as much as you claim to, you will support my decision, and when the time comes, sign the papers. Ill see you around school. But for now, stop calling, stop texting, and when possible, just dont talk to me. Goodbye Nick (Hangs up)
Nick: (Sighs, frustrated) Ugh!
