  • You said its a WRX, but arent the 99 models only GT Turbo's? (555 versions).

I'm really happy i just found this video, i spent 3 days searching if my GT Turbo (99) has the OBD connector, but never found any answer :P Yours seems exactly like mine, so i gues i'm safe to get some connectors too then ^^

  • @karremania @karremania HI! 99 WRX or GT means the same, i think they sold the 99 WRX in Europe under the name GT. The 555 version you talk about is just a tribute to the Winnings in a Rallye Series. Subaru made the most special editions of a car series ive heard.

Of Course, you will find the connector under the steering weel.

    Good Luck! :D

  • Macbook Pro? Which software do you use for logging / tuning? Do you use Paralel Desktop ?

  • @murproject

For Tactrix there is some software available for Mac, but you can use also virtualbox and passthroug the USB port or Bootcamp... whatever. The biggest problem is, that there is no software available to download the ecu of the imprezas til 00. Or at least i did not found anything... :-(

  • Fault memory is called CHECK ENGINE light. =)

  • @totoybuang82

  • @limlamo656

Sadly i think there is no chance to do this by your own. But you can do it with ecutek...

Important: Go to a Tuner that knows his work... i had a friend, that tuned up a Impreza with a bigger turbo. Two of three tuners where not able to make it right. It costs Money but its worth it if you just have to 'tek your car once!

  • @mg556linked

Hey mg! Yeah it was in a perfect matter, even with 180tkm. The Car is interessting because it is lighter than the newer models and if you calculate the Power to Weight ratio it is amazing. What ive learned, leightweight is important. ....But Somone Crashed into my car, now it is a total loss :.-(. I miss my car!

No, i could only check some of the parameters, but nothing interessting. :-(. The Code for Downloading the Code was never been Updatet or made working.

  • Good video, Dorian. Nice looking car. For it's age it's looks to be in very good shape. Did you ever get openecu to download the memory from your '99? I have an '02 so I know the code is written and fine tuned. But, I have thought of buying a 90s impreza as a project.

  • Hi Dorian!

I own the same 1999 Impreza as you do,

I bought a new Turbo GT35R and i want to tune it,

Can i do it myself with the program u have just showed?

    Thanks man, Nice video :)
