@burgmail All reverse-trap toilets are not like that. Plus, YT User AdamDiddy flused alot of stuff down the A-S version of this toilet.

Nice Crane toilet. I noticed that it flushes the opposite way of most toilets. Great toilet.

@an65001 Funny, in theory what you're saying would be correct... But the funny thing is we had nothing but problems with these toilets at home. In fact, anyone I know who still have these toilets in this area all complain they have difficulty flushing them, just like ours did. There were even times when it refused to drain the waste unless you cut it in half! I would rather never see a reverse-trap toilet again.
-
@burgmail Well they RARELY clog...and the system can push down more waste because of the siphon jet being stronger...since the tank is a lot closer...and they CAN flush efficiently on 1.6gpf.
-
@Landaux Yeah, but they are back due to the invention of the low-flush toilet...Gerber Makes them...
-
Actually this was a VERY good type of toilet...YT user AdamDiddy had the A/S model, and it would flush down plentiful...

I remember these toilets with the reverse trap, the water level in the bowl was very low, darn near at the trap, and when you flushed the toilet, the water from the big, giant siphon hole at the rear pushed the waste down the drain. Those toilets were huge, with a really huge tank as well, then when the city of L.A. enacted water conservation methods in the early 1990's, the landlords were forced to replaced those old, big giant toilets with water saving Sahara Lamosa's with a 1.6gpf rating.
very rare!

These are quite common to find in older buildings here in Canada.
