hard to tell with just one. They usually come in repetitive waves so its probably just a jerk.

I have to agree with you - it does not look anything like nystagmus (AKA Spasmus nutans). I have worked with several children with that and none have isolated incidents (it's usually an episode that lasts several minutes - continuous. And they're not associated with the body spasm seen. I would be seeking a second opinion, as you noted. But if they have ceased, it may just be OK to wait and see. Sometimes infections can make the infant body act weird for a short time. Hopefully it was just that

I wouldn't think IS because they seem to be isolated, not in clusters but there definitely is something there - whether it be a myoclonic seizure or just a myoclonic jerk. Either way, definitely show the doctor. She seems to "space out" at the end of this video -

thanks for your reply. This actually occurred in the hospital. The doctor diagnosed him with Spasmus Nutans, but I don't agree. The EEG and MRI came back normal, so now we just wait and watch. I'm wanting a second opinion at some point. On the good side, the "episodes" have almost ceased completely...

Well I saw the December 10 vid and did not notice any eye involvement but there is something going on with his eyes here - and the spasm at the end did look a little like IS - any word from his doctor?
