  • What would you recommend as an amplification system The Fishman or the "Hot Plate"

  • @jleoblues - Hot Plate for sure. Great sound and easy to control. I don't have one but I am going to get one for my new El Trov for gigs - a lot easier to control in live environments.

  • Hello im a 1933 National el trovador owner and i am sending messages to the guys on here that have original El Trovadors and i thought it would be cool to document and try to get a number on how many of these beauties are still around.. Just to share stories on how we aquired them and maybe even start a website that people can go to and learn about these gems... Mine is a k462... Thanks.

  • Thank you for that quick reply. somebody is selling one. I saw a video and went on the site that National is making a 12 string version. Thats my fantasy instrument.

  • very nice i love old wood body nationals i have a really well set up trojan ......am thinking of a eltrovador next

  • Both are great sounding guitars..I got an Estralit a myself and really dig the woodbodies vs the metal ones. Nice playin as well
