..... be sure of course, that there is no wiring in your way (to tag lights, backup lights, and such). Then, from the inside, use a bigger drill, or maybe even a small hole saw, to make your new inside hole bigger for access. OR you could just drill the inside hole only as big as required for the bolt, and use a long bolt that will go through the tag and both walls, then attach the washer and lock nut. Just suggestions. Use your own judgment here, of course. I have not done the front yet.
It will definitely be more difficult on some vehicles more than others (May be an understatement in some cases). However, if the tag is on your trunk and you cannot see where the bolts come through on the inside (and have no access panels), then your trunk is probably the common double wall steel with space between the walls. You may be able (and if you are willing) to remove the tag, and from the outside insert a small drill bit through the bolt hole and drill through the inside wall...
When I look inside my trunk, there doesn't seem to be any place where the screw from the license plate comes through. How do I attach anti-theft plates? And how would I put one on the front?
@slimj82: Thanks. The smudge is just a little dirt and the orange peel really is not noticeable to the eye. None the less, the HD and the lighting really does bring it out though.
@obieezx11: At least you will still have your tag, lol!
