For everyone that has taken offense to this song...Its not about short people. Randy Newman wrote this song about bigotry and to show how rediculous it is. He thought if he wrote a song showing bigotry against a group of people that really has no hate based opposition he would show how stupid hating people was. He thought singing about short people was no different than singing about tall people or left handed people. He was surprised when ppl started protesting his concerts...all 5ft and under.

I'm only 5'2" okay. I don't mind being a short person. Look at it this way okay. For those of us who are short we'll never outgrow our clothes, we'll never outgrow our size and everyone thinks we're cute!!!!!!!

I am a small person and I have one thing to say to all of the others that are pissed off by either this song or this video and that is grow the fuck up. That's right, we can't. Ha Ha Ha. If you can't laugh at yourself then you force everyone else to. Keep that in mind.
