Testing 720p video with my new Kodak EasyShare Z1015 IS outside with our girls and nephew. We recently broke our Kodak EasyShare V1253 and decided to upgrade the zoom. I have been very surprised to find that recording short horse demonstration videos from a tripod were much better quality than those from sub $1000 HD camcorders.
My needs are very specific...
1. Short videos from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
2. SDHC cards.
3. True 720p resolution 1920x780.
4. Excellent clarity within 20-30 yards.

Things I didn't need...
1. Extremely good image stabilization...I usually record from a tripod outside of the corral...while I am inside the corral.
2. Several hours of video. I usually work on things in short bursts for studying later. 4 4Gb SDHC cards give me about 60 minutes which is plenty. A 4 Gb card will usually give me 29 minutes but sometimes a little less...with an extra card to spare.

  • @localequine does this cmaera have the pause option while recording, and can u shar it with youtube

  • Looks like crap in 360p. Wonder why! Looks great in HD, though!

  • I have the same camera --it's nice. This video is a bit choppy. I don't know if it's because of YouTube, the upload or your camera. My video used to be choppy, too, but I solved it by getting a bigger memory card -4GB.

  • I Just got mines,I love it

  • HOLY SHIT............

By the way, do you think it's possible if you could upload a slideshow of pictures taken with the camera? :D
